This pattern will make a pretty 54" x 80." You'll need 2 skeins each of two colors, and 1 skein each of 9 colors. Knitting worsted weight yarn is used. Sorry, but no photo is shown for this one.

Your going to love this pattern. The afghan has sleeves so you can sit nice and cozy without worrying about the afghan falling off your shoulders.

All American Denim Striped Afghan - Talking Crochet

This afghan measures 50" x 70" not counting the fringe. Red Heart TLC worsted weight yarn was used.

This afghan will make you proud for years to come. It is a beauty. The afghan is completed in the afghan stitch and the roses are charted out for you.

The afghan is crocheted in red, white and blue stripes. You'll need worsted weight yarn. The designer says that gauge isn't important. If you would like it to fit your bed properly though, I would check the length after a few rows.

The afghan is crocheted from a graph. You'll need a size I hook. She suggests using a size J to create a larger afghan.

Americana Afghan - Creative Partners

This is a pretty granny afghan that is crocheted with red, white and blue yarn. You could use any colors you'd like though. Worsted weight yarn is used and a size H hook.

Apache Tears Afghan - Project Linus

The project is crocheted in 8 different colors of your choice and a size H hook. 

Autumn Evening - Priscilla's Crochet

The afghan is completed in stripes using black and 9 different colors. You'll need a size J hook. She used Vanna's Choice yarn, but any 4-ply acrylic yarn would work well.

Blue Boyfriend's Afghan - Bean's Crochet

The afghan has a striped open weave, but she says it is still very warm. She used Caron One Pound skeins in 3 different colors of blue. This afghan is a good pattern for beginners, because it is crocheted with just single crochet stitches and a size P hook, which would make it extra quick to finish.

Blue Ice Throw - Red Heart

The pattern is for another striped afghan, but is beautiful. a size K crochet hook was used and Red Heart Super Saver yarn. You'll need to download the pattern.

Broomstick Lace Afghan - Yarn Lover's Room

Sorry, but a photo isn't shown of the finished project, but if you are familiar with broomstick lace, you know that it is beautiful. The pattern appears to be a vintage pattern. You'll need a size K crochet hook and a size 50 knitting needle.

Butterflies Galore - Fortune City

Butterflies Galore is a unique pattern, because each butterfly is worked separately and then joined. It is an open weave, but the butterflies look real. Size 10 crochet cotton and a steel hook is needed.

This is a charted afghan with 13 different butterflies. After completing the squares you then assemble them together.

This is a pretty afghan that is also finished with charted designs. The afghan is crocheted with squares that are than assemble together.

This pretty afghan is a granny square afghan that is worked in hexagons rather than squares. You'll need a skein of 10 different colors of worsted weight yarn plus 18 ounces of the main color. This would be a good project to just use up all of your scrap yarn and then purchase the main color.
